This is full body 5 min warm up you can follow along to prior to exercise. If you follow along before your workouts, you will quickly get to know what’s coming next and won’t feel the need to watch this over and over as it will become second nature! I would recommend further warming up if carrying out working sets. For example: Bar only for 20 reps for chest press, barbell squats etc before working sets If using using, use lighter weight for warm up set(s) At least 20 reps bodyweight lunges or squats before weighted sets For plyometrics, incorporate set(s) of less powerful jumps etc This video is simply to give you an idea, so please feel free to make it your own! Here is my full upper body dynamic stretching routine that I do every single time I train upper body. I do all these exercises in order for around 20- 30 seconds each, right in the beginning of my workout as soon as I get to the gym. It usually takes about 5-10 minutes, and when I’m done I’ll either do a few sets of push-ups if it’s a push day, or some assisted pull-ups if it’s a pull day. Before any workout—and especially a high intensity one!—it's important to prepare your body. Depending on the type of workout you're about to do and any muscle imbalances or recovering injuries you have, a proper warm up will vary. In general though, you want to include some light-to-moderate cardio to gradually increase the heart rate and some dynamic (active) stretches for joint mobility. This 5-minute warm up is made with the at-home workouts I post to my channel in mind. We'll start with two minutes of cardio bodyweight exercises and then move onto active stretches for a functional range of motion. FYI all my newer YouTube workouts include a warm up at the start.
